Off we flew on Thursday to Utah for a wedding. It started with the DH and I ready to take each others head off. I think it was the stress of getting there and leaving the kids. I also think we really needed to unwind and relax. That does wonders for a marriage. Really :) We had a couple of surprised along the way. We were in a small plane. That does wonders for the nerves. NOT!
We get there and they tell us that for $18 more dollars we can upgrade to the new H3. DH jumped on it. It rode so nice. It was a nice car in general. The golf clubs fit just fine LOL. The thing that are important to men. Yes DH took the clubs. He had an important golf game with a friend. We ran to the distribution Center because I needed to pick some things up. We also had lunch at the mall across from Temple Square. Then it was off to the hotel.
Over the years I have become a hotel snob. That is because DH traveled so much. He got really nice upgrades. We got spoiled. So we got a nice room. I love when the decor it nice and warm and soothing. Plus I am a SUCKER for a down comforter. I will make the room an ice box so I can snuggle under the covers. So that is what I set off to do :)
We had the wedding dinner to attend. It was so nice. Yummy food, good company and lots of laughs. We met the bride, what a cutie!!! They look so good together. There was so much happiness. Joy is what was on their faces.
After the dinner we had some time to go catch a movie. It was really fun to go to a movie and be with DH and not be watching a kid movie. Xmen. It was a great movie and yes we stayed for the extra scene.
We got some sleeping in time! Yeah. We had to be at the Temple at 10:40. What a wonderful ceremony. There was such a wonderful spirit. The bride and groom BEAMED. It was so happy and warm. There was so much love. We had some time before the reception, the number one thing on our list to do was to take a nap. Oh what a lovely nap that was! Reception was wonderful and then we went to dinner. Yummy!
The next day was fun day. Dh was off to play golf and I got to spend time with Melanie! YEAH! Top of the list, SCRAPBOOK shopping. Happiness! We had a ball. Yummy lunch. Sometimes it is just nice to have fun, relax and be goofy!
Sunday we came home. It all had to end sometime. I feel recharged and am slowly getting back into the swing of things :)
