Two crazy weekends in a row equals a tired mama

Well last weekend was for me.  I worked the scrapbook expo with the gal I like to wok with.  Three days is a little long but it is nice to get out and talk to people.  Breaking down is always long and hard, but this year it was not as bad.  Maybe the gym is paying off after all.

This weekend was a three day water polo tournament.  I always get away feeling like I have played the games cause I am just beat after that.

So I am around just busy.

...She always comes back to get you.  Really.  I am a huge believer in what comes around goes around.  you do good, good comes back to you, you do bad, bad comes back.

It just takes some people longer to understand that.

Sometimes it is fun to sit back and watch, other times it is sad.  Different choices could have produced different results.

SO I really hope you figure it out and wake up.

I am that person...

...that gets really tired of hearing your political rants.  I am tired of seeing crap all over my Facebook timeline, twitter and heck even my email.

This is what I think.  Being a President is a thankless job.  No one is ever going to be happy or think you did an amazing job.  People are always against you.

I think about this stuff all the time.  I don't talk politics unless it is with my hubby.  Even my kids have no clue what political party I am.  Why because I want them to choose on there own what they believe in and what they want to be.

I remember being in third grade and President Reagan being shot.  I have no idea why we were watching TV in class but we were and there was breaking news.  It was about the President being shot.  A kid stood up and yelled I hope he dies, that is what he gets for being Republican.  Third grade.  you know where he got those ideas from, his parents.  Nice.  That had such an impact on me, that kid filled with hatred.

The latest bandwagon, oh Mr. President your kids are protected guns.  Well hell, if I was President my kids would be too.  My children are not a high target everyday to be kidnapped.  No they get to live a normal life that unless some crazy person does something stupid they don't have to think about things that the Presidents children need to be aware of.  May that never ever happen to any leaders children.

So to whomever the President is, you have my complete support.  I also thank you.  It is not a job I would want.

It has been a little nuts around my home in the last two weeks.  Throw some water polo, travel for the Hubby, starting working at a gym and a car accident in there and blend.  That is my life.

Preteen almost teenager (like in less then a month) has been super busy with waterpolo and color guard.  I am not sure how all this is going to work come march and April but I am sure we will figure it out.

Hubby has been traveling.  It is way easier to deal with that with just one kid.  Way easier.

We joined a gym.  So far I am the only one that has gone.  Yeah, I think I got scammed there a bit.  Right now I am just getting used to getting moving again and being sore.  I go while preteen is at water polo.  Part of me is happy, you mean I don't have to sit there and freeze.  No, now I just go sweat.  I am looking forward to having hubby be sore.  I am gonna laugh, really.

The car accident.  All is well car is in the shop.  I wont say it was fun.

I did manage to have lunch with Sherry last Friday so yay for me time.

Life it keeps going.

It was a great day

I took a day off work to hang out with the preteen almost a teenager.  Hubby has lots of meetings and running around to do so it just made everyone's lives easier.

First order of business, getting up at a reasonable time.  Done.  We got out the door.  Headed to a not so close mall and went to preteens current favorite place to buy jeans. They were on sale and I had an awesome coupon.  Found what she needed/wanted and were off to lunch.  We both like different things and headed off to what we each liked.  Had to stop at the scrapbook store to find some specialty paper for her science project.  Walked out with what she needed.

Then she looked at me and said the cupcake place is not to far away.  During my busy season cupcakes were delivered to us and it was heaven.  So needless to say I dragged the family out there and we have been back way too many times. We are also not helping Sherry and her family out by bringing them cupcakes every time we go.  We ran by yesterday, no extras, it was just for us. (Sorry Sherry).  I am also happy to say we got the 2 bite mini cupcakes and mine are sit sitting on the counter.

We had to make one more stop to pick up a few other things for the science project, headed home did a 15 minute clean up and then it was time.  The cricut machine got a work out yesterday.  It has been a while since it had gotten one.  It still works.  Science project is on its way to being done.  Thank goodness.

Off to water polo practice.  I still am amazed that preteen is playing water polo and that I might have at least 5 more years of sitting beside the pool.  Note to self, buy a better chair and portable heater.

Older daughter and hubby had dinner and survived.  Believe.  One day it will hopefully be better.

But all in all it was a great day!  Preteen is fun and we always have a good time together.  Love that kid!

The little things

I am tired this morning because I did not sleep well.  It is more along the lines of I just stayed up too late.  Sunday nights you will usually find me and my little one (who is almost 13 now) watching Once Upon a Time from 8 to 9 pm.  Then we usually head off to bed. She still has a week of vacation time left, so I told her I am tired and going to bed you make sure you are in bed at 10.  Well I was not quite asleep, I was almost in the I am kinda hungry place when she comes in the bedroom and says dad, you want to make some soupy?  Our dear friend Sherry sent some Korean type of ramen soup home with us the other day.  She asks if I want anything, I say a grilled cheese and she makes me one and leaves the dog with me while they finish making their soup.

I love the late night chit chat, the being all bundled up while we sit in my bedroom.  It is just they types of moments that make parenting all worth it.

I don't think I got back to bed until midnight but that is OK, I loved it.

Interesting facebook message today

I received a couple of facebook messages today that I was not expecting.

First, was an invite to a group that I used to belong to.  A group that I loved.  But I was quickly not feeling welcome when once member decided that cause she has told me a little much about her life and how she felt that she would shut me out when I was at a really low point and needed her.  I have no interest in being part of her very very fake life.  I am about one of the most real people you will ever meet.  I don't do fake well.

Second, an apology from some that had stepped out of my life a while ago.  That one was actually nice to read and respond to.

Believe, sometimes it is believing in one moment at a time...

2013 is going to be a great year.

I can feel it.  Our household changed a lot in 2012.  with the oldest leaving the way she did and the 3 or us were left dealing with the after math, we learned lots of new things.  We learned that anything gone missing, the oldest probably had in her messy room.  We had way too much stuff. We also has was too much stress in our lives generated a lot from the oldest.

Now I am not saying she is/was a bad kid but I will say life is a lot easier without her a part of our daily lives.

The little one blossomed not having to be in her big sisters shadow. That has been wonderful to see and watch.  She is busy busy, colorguard, water polo and drama.  She is almost to busy for me.

But this year it just already feels different.

I believe that is will be a wonderful year.
