I can not remember how I stumbled across this blog. But I can tell you that it changed me and how I think. SHe is an AMAZING WOMAN. Angie has been through so much and yet she remains faithful. SHe has moments but then she just stuns me with her dedication to Christ.

Wordless Wednesday

Yesterday

Yesterday was Stacy's birthday. I thought of her all day and was finally able to wish her a happy birthday around bed time. My life has been so blessed because of her. She is my weight loss partner and more. She came into my life via the internet and I have been honored to spend time in her home and with her family.

I would be lost without and thank God every day for her! Happy Birthday Stacy!

Moving on

Today I am doing my last orientation at work. I thought I would be excited but I am actually kinda sad. I am off for a few days then I am moving to a different position and while I am excited about this, I am also a little torn to be leaving my field for a bit. I am off to Guest Service where I will be dealing with the guests in our store. I know this is just a stepping stone and I will be back but it is out of my comfort zone. So today I am a bit sad.

But on the flip side, imagine the stories I will be able to share.

Who, What, Where, When

I think I am into the finer points of being a taxi mom. I usually have no less then three places to go each day to get the girls somewhere. Princess Seriously has started summer school in her attempt to get ahead of the game in high school and Princess Girly Girl is hanging out with Grandma while I am working. It is strange to be working during the summer, but so far so good. I can move the schedule around enough that it is all working.

I feel like I get up in the morning and have no idea what is going on for the day. It changes even if I make plans and that cracks me up because I am such a planner. I can go with the flow but I want an idea of where I am off to for the day.

Seems like that is not happening anymore. Dang these kids.

Stuck

It seemed that I hit a wall with the weight loss. Grrrrr. I was stuck for a few weeks at nothing, no loss, no gain, just stuck. I was getting discouraged. But the it was time to take measurements and that made a huge difference. I have lost 13.5 inches on my body! WOOO HOOOO. I will take that number! That is great news to hear. While I have been on that high, the scale finally moved, it moved down! Half a pound, I had never been so happy to see half a pound.

So for now I am unstuck :) Come dance with me.

So what exactly is going on?

Well, I am not 100% sure but here is what I do know. Last Monday I went for Team Lead Assessments at work. So basically a promotion. I passed the assessments. I can tell you that I was a little stressed about it. It was kinda of a last minute thing. But I was ready to go when it was time. Is it a round of interviews and a test of sorts.

I am not 100% sure when I am going to be a team leader of yet. I am 99% sure but until it all goes down then I will not say exactly where I am going. I am excited and that may seems strange because it is all outside of my comfort zone. I am a Human resources person and I am going out, out on the floor. So after October, do not look for me cause I will be at work.

So that is what I know for sure. I will update when I am 100% sure.

Happy Fathers Day!

Happy Father Day to my awesome DH who is a great father to our Princesses. I wanted someone who would play barbies, teach the kids to be funny and always have fun. Rick is that sand more! He teaches them so much all the time and is willing to be the bad guy, the good guy and the completely goofy dad. I knew that when I married him he would be all those things and more. I love hearing him talk to the girls and that he likes to take them out to have fun. I never have to ask for him to babysit because he does not believe in babysitting his own children. He is a parent and not a babysitter. He laughs when other dads say they have to babysit. Then he will set them straight that you do not babysit your own children.

Happy Fahters Day to my Dad. We have fought hard and have a wonderful relationship now. It took years, tears and lots of love. I adore him and love that he is a funny grandpa to my girls. he loves to talk to them and hear what is going on. When we get a chance to see each other he just watches and laughs at the funny things the girls do. I live having quiet time with him and just talking. I have gotten lots of great stories about his life and what he has accomplished. I love talking to him.

One of my most favorite memories is eating chili dogs in the back of the mustard colored pinto wagon. Anyone remember those?

Update to the update

So I did not get back as promised, it took a few more days. It has been insanely busy. Lets see where did I leave off?

Thursday of last week it was time to start getting ready for Team Lead assessments at work. Lots of paperwork to fill out. One I got that going I got nervous. That cracked me up. Never been nervous over a job like that. Got Princess Girly Girl signed up for soccer!

Friday, was insanely busy. I finished up paperwork and went back to work at a strange time. Once I was done there the girls and I were off to dinner at a fun place and we laughed and giggled the night away. We came home, watched a movie and goofed off.

Saturday, I had some running around to do and then took Princess Seriously off shopping. I had to get clothes that fit for the Team Lead assessments on Monday. I got a nice outfit, slacks and a short sleeved sweater for the assessments with PS's help. We we headed out to dinner and a movie. We finally saw Made of Honor and loved it. I need to buy that movie when it comes out!

Sunday was church, nice family day and it was quiet.

Monday, I was a wreck. Still nervous and wanting to be done with the day. Got the girls off to school and went off to work for the Team Lead assessments. Three sets of interviews and waiting. I was so ready to be done. Found out before I went home that I passed everything and was good to go. Job change for me! So as soon as I am 100% where exactly I will be I will let you all know. It does mean a few more hours but I am one more step closer to where I really want to be. I was excited. Who would have though my little seasonal job would turn into so much more.

Tuesday, I needed to take the girls to have their nails done. Actually it was part of the whole promotion package for Princess Seriously. Princess Girly Girl went along and wanted the whole set up. So pedicure and manicure for all three of us. I actually enjoyed it all. Everyone was ready to go for the festivities later in the week. It was funny to see PGG sitting in the spa chair. Thy thought we was too funny and did all this extra stuff for her. So she has flowers and sparkles on her nails.

Wednesday, a blur, did not get home until late. Spent the day cleaning the house and came home to everything out of place. Sigh.

Thursday, 8th grade promotion! Awards for PGG. PGG was having a hard time with everything being about PS. Had to have the chat that everyone has their turns. Promotion was great.

Been busy...

...with end of school year activities and other changes going on in life in general. Massive update tonight.

Wordless Wednesday - Aleksei

I know can I ever really just be wordless? Here is an updated picture of the most wonderful boy I know. Still such a miracle every time I think or look at him. Now I need to be a better auntie and get out there to see him. I need to hug him! That boy has my heart!

Soccer Mom

Good thing I kept the shirt from Princess Seriously because Princess Girly Girl just got enrolled in soccer cause she wanted to. I think she will love it. But I am torn. Can it be, is she branching out? Sigh, she is getting to be too big too fast.

So here I come Soccer field but not until school starts.

Weekend

So after working on the Wii all weekend, the girls and I hung out and did goofy things. Picnic in the park, breakfast at IHOP because we never do that. Princess Girly Girl and I stayed up as late as we could on Friday playing Wii Fit and Mario Cart. We laughed so hard. Then fell dead asleep after midnight. Princess Seriously had a sleep over and then hung out with us on Saturday.

It was just a nice girly weekend. :)
