So I have been working on a project all week. Will post pictures later. I do the Grocery Game. I was beginning to have a lot of coupons and no real way to sort through them. They were by date but if you knew you had that coupon for dish soap you had to remember what date it was in, in order to find the stupid thing. So many of the women went to this binder system. So I got a binder an started organizing. Three days later I am done. Then I decided to name the binder Max. Made sense to me because I am trying to get the maximum out of my grocery money.

I had a good stash of stuff before the fire. The big decision was to wait until we got back into the house or just do it now and then have to pack all the stuff when it is time to move. I am going to be boxing things up. Sounds strange but I am having so much fun seeing just how much I can save.

So now I can see what coupons I have and how many of them. Ahhhh, the joys of being out of my mind and completely anal.

So there you have it.

The Mini Sleepover

So at church I am in charge of the women's activities. I have a really great committee. There is no way I could even come close to doing this all by myself. Last night was a fun activity. We decided to have a mini sleep over. Come in your Pj's. Eat junk food and lets play lots of games.

WE HAD SO MUCH FUN! We had all ages. Crowded in my den. Nevermind we picked my house because the front room was empty. We put all the junk food on the floor and played games for hours. I think we had every type of dip that we could there.

I love when things go well :)

Clothes

Out of all the people in this house it figures that the one that has the most would be DH. He has more clothes then the three women in his life. There still is an entire bed covered in clothes because there is nowhere to hang them. I will be working on getting rid of clothes because there is no way I am moving all of them back to the house, when it is time. I did a first round on Saturday. Princess Seriously went through some of her clothes and we put them on the freecycle site. They were all gone in a day. So I begin on everyone else's. Then I need some boxes because I would go nuts if all that had to stay on the bed.

Milk is suppose to be white.

My favorite cereal is captain crunch. That lastest box of captain crunch turns the milk green. Do you know how gross that is? Milk is suppose to be white. For ME that means no chocolate milk, no strawberry milk, just plain old milk white. Every morning Princess Girly Girl get the captain crunch out and laughs because it turns the milk green and it grosses me out. She laughs so hard. Ewww Ewww Ewwwwwwwww.

Sometimes Sleep is the BEST

remedy....

When someone in the family gets sick Dr.Mom tends to need to be on call 24/7. That is what this past long weekend was. Dh was sick. I was tried. Sick and Tired is not a good combination. LOL. Dh is on the mend now. I finally managed to slide into the deep sleep that I so needed, aided by a little tylenol PM.

The fun part is getting cozy with the blankets, I love bringing the blankets up to my chin and just falling asleep. Knowing that you are falling asleep is the best part.

The only thing I need to fix is DH's need to watch TV while I am getting there. It is not the TV part that I mind. It is what he tends to watch. Now I KNOW I am super sensitive when I am that tired. Although I whine and complain to him, bring out the pinchers and tell him to knock it off, it is really nice that when he choose something funny, the belly laugh that he does is a comforting sound. I may not like it in the moment, but it is a great way to dream. When I laugh asleep and he is laughing I tend to have funny dreams. Or dreams that I am laughing with him. Now don't tell him this (and if you are reading it I am NOT talking about you LOL).

Today will be a good day, I am rested and cheery. So if you see me smiling you know why....

Boredom

So the thing with not being in your own home is that when you are bored you can't just go work on the house and do something that needs to be. I think I was bored most of the weekend. That and DH was sick. So I was pretty bored. I am have been inspired to scrapbook because it is soooo strange not to be in my room an have all my stuff around. I don't really have alot of stuff to scrapbook and I have NO pictures. I should start working on a book about this whole adventure.

Anyway, we pretty much hung out. There are no closets to organize, no walls to paint, no project to work. Did you know that you can only be on the computer so long? You can only look up so many things for so long. I have had this list that I have to go find prices for. This is the stuff considered total loss in the house. But I even get tired of doing that.

On funny thing is that is was so windy. We are less then half a mile from our home, but I think it makes a difference being closer to the hill. So when the windy would get going good and strong, it would make the door make a funny noise. It was like the door was howling, moaning and just whining. We got pretty used to that over the weekend. We call it our ghost. The girls we laughing over.

Ok I am off to go find something to not be so bored!...

Extreme Makeover, Home Edition

We always watched this show as a family. We enjoy it. It has taken a difference twist as we have gone through our fire. Every stinking week we cry because these people have it sooo much worse then we do. We cry because we are so grateful that we have good insurance and even through it will take longer then 7 days we will be back in our home.

This past episode was about the determination of an 11 year old. I have seen that in Princess Seriously during this whole fire thing. When it happened. She totally stepped up to the plate and had to be so brave. She had to make phone calls, she had to be calm, she had to watch as they tore apart her room. She held it all together. She says it was because I was holding it together and kept telling her it was just stuff, that we were safe and the animals were safe. She also said she was so scared as I went into the house to get the animals out. She knew she just had to pray and pray that I would be safe. I have seen her hold it together as she realized it was a lot of her stuff that was destroyed. So I have a determined 11 year old ago. I am so grateful for that.

Now mind you there are times that I still would like to string her up. But all in all I think I will keep her just the way she is.

A down time day

I get so excited when I don't have anything on my day that I need to do. today was suppose to be like that. I ended up having a quick meeting with two ladies from church. I ended up having to run to the house to sign contracts for the rebuild of the house.

But the morning started out so well. First off DH decided to sleep in. I love that because we get cuddle time :) also did not have to wake up Princess Girly Girl early to take Princess Seriously to school. Princess Girly Girl likes to sleep. So we had a great morning. Breakfast in our jammies. Then we got to take time to do our hair. She loves that.

That makes it a great day in my book. Now Monday, that is when we have nothings planned. I look forward to that day.

House update

So it has just been over a month. No construction yet. The 2 months is going to turn out to be more like 4 or 5 when all is said and done. Hopefully next week all will be settled and we can start construction. I think the one that is taking it the hardest would be DH. But since he got his bed back, he sure is sleeping alot better.

So I will update as I know more....

Missionaries

We get to have the Missionaries over for dinner alot. We love it. We have Sisters in our ward right now. The apartment is set up for three missionaries so we tend to get a lot of threesomes. So we had three over for dinner. DH has been wanting to help me cook alot lately so he made his famous pasta sauce. Slurp, it was gone LOL.

So we tend to get some favorite missionaries with all of them in and out. It is really nice when they come back to see us. That makes us feel pretty dang good. We get excited as they go on in their lives and we even get wedding invites. We currently got a text message about getting engaged and then got to talked to the Nate-Dog and find out the details. We are so excited for him and is was so sweet when he asked if we would be there.

Then right after Christmas, Emily came down to stay with us while she came for a visit. My girls love her! We love her too and I was able to spend many late nights up chatting with her. Be impressed because the above two mentioned are the ONLY ones DH has let drive is much loved car....

This all reminds me of how much we love and I am grateful that we have a nice cozy home, that is open of everyone. I love that people come and go and feel comfortable to do that. I always wanted that in my home as I was growing up. That is want I would dream of.

So you tell me, is that what I have? I sure hope so :)

1 MINUTE AGO: I was reading email

1 HOUR AGO: I was surfing the web. I only have so much free time.

1 DAY AGO: In Princess Girl Girly's class making name tags and cutting things out.

1 WEEK AGO: I was tearing my hair because the girls were still home and they were driving me nuts.

1 MONTH AGO: We were in Arizona, doing the Polar Express train. We are also coming up on the one month anniversary of the house fire.

1 YEAR AGO: We were trying to make the hard decision of want to do with our sick dog. That was really hard.

1 DECADE AGO: Wow have to think about this one, lets see, I was just starting my job at the newspaper, I had been married 3 years to my wonderful DH. Princess Seriously was just over a year old.

1 QUARTER CENTURY AGO: I was 8. I was getting ready to be baptized and my parents were still together. Little did I know what was to come. My brother was only a year old and cute as can be.

Kindergarten

So Wednesdays is the day I help in Princess Girly Girl's classroom. This has been a strange year. Her original teacher went out on maternity leave and decided not to come back. While she was deciding that we had a sub. Sub #1 was ok, but less experienced and not completely credential. W went off track and came back to Sub#2. I am excited because #2 seems to have it together and SHE CLEANED THE CLASSROOM. That place was a mess. I am so glad that she did that! The kids seem to be able to pay attention better and do what they need to do. She is in much more control and they all like her.

So I went and made name tags, stapled packets together and cut caught you being good cards out. You know I used to think all that stuff was not important, but doing the silly stuff really does free time up for the teacher. They are able to do other things that really need to be done. Teachers work so hard and you know I think that are TRULY not paid what they are worth.

So if you have a child and the are in school be sure to take time to ask if they need anything. If you can;t do that then tell them how much you appreciate what they do.

We made it through the Holidays

Christmas Eve was fun and filled with family, presents, and lots of food. I actually had it easy and dinner was made by Dh's mom and brought over.

Christmas was filled with stockings, church and then coming home to open the rest of the presents. We then went to a friends house for dinner and off to the hospital to visit Aleksei's parents.

New years ever was back to a friends house to have munchies and bring in the new year. This year HAS to be better then 2005.

It was very strange not being in our home, but we really did make the best of it and now have another year of memoires...
