Weekend Adventure #3

Monday, hey it was still my weekend, Sherry and I were brave and took the kids to the beach.


It was a great day, perfect weather, great kids and just perfect. We hung out, played and then I taught her the finer points for beach fun. Baby Powder. It gets the nasty sand off. When you are done you look like a ghost BUT you no longer have sand all over you and in the icky parts that do not need sand. AUGH. Have I mentioned, I really do not like sand? But hey I do love sitting there watching the kids have fun and listening to the waves.

Weekend Adventure #2

Sunday we headed out for another adventure. American Girl store in Los Angeles. I thought it would be a little much for DH but he handled it with grace...

We managed to get squeezed in at the last minute for lunch. I think it is so cute. It is all about the girls and their dolls. What I love is that even Princess Seriously has no issue with going and playing with her doll for the afternoon. I just love that about her.




The girls had their dolls ears pierced, got a new outfit for them. We did a little shopping and just hung out. It was a great relaxing day.

Weekend Adventure #1

Saturday was beach day. Now I have a confession. I was too scared to take my DSLR to the beach so I took Princess Girly Girls crappy $99 Kodak easy share camera. LOL.

We picked up Princess Seriously's friend and headed out to the beach. It was a blast but a little overcast so that made it a little cold. We headed out to am old favorite spot and planted our selves for the day.

The snack that wasn't

So the girls and I decided to go for an afternoon swim. It was going fine and dandy until a big, black, flying beetle joined us. Princess Seriously is TERRIFIED of them. I mean TERRIFIED!

So she was having a snack and sharing with Maggie the dog. Menjers, the other dog was jumping in and out of the pool with her ball. We hear a piercing scream and Princess Seriously is screaming "BEETLE, BEETLE". She dashes across the pool. I follow, well because she was screaming, it makes a person RUN!

All this was going on and Menjers, the dog, decides she was left out of the snack. She sticks her whole face in the dip (sour cream) container and goes to town. Meanwhile we are all watching as Princess Girly Girl beats the chip bag because the beetle landed in it.

So, no more chips and dip for Princess Seriously, while I am laughing so hard because I asked not to bring them out to tempt me. Well next time she will listen all because of the poor, helpless beetle.

There is Always a Price

So I have a lovely weekend ahead. THREE DAYS off in a row. I am so excited! We are headed out for some family fun. We are going to the beach and various other places. I am so looking forward to fun time. But there is a price. The week after I am scheduled 6 days to cover some other vacation time for coworkers. That is ok, it all works out in the end.

Princess Girly Girl started soccer this week. She was worn out. But on the bright side everything is pink. Pink Ball, shoes, shin guards and socks. That was a fun shopping trip. I took the camera and was ready to go when it gave me an error message. No memory card. That was at home on the computer. Grrrr! The Princess Girly Girl talked Princess Seriously into becoming a referee for her games. The team needs to provide 3 refs per game. That was fun to watch that negotiation happen. But they worked it out and they are both happy and PS gets to use those hours to count toward her mandatory volunteer hours that she needs to do for her school program! It was a win-win for both of them!

So as summer winds down for us (as in school is near) we will be off and about doing as much as we can.

Even more to say but not enough time

I want to post more about Sherry's. :) I even have more pictures!

We were at Princess Seriously's water polo games, yep games, this morning. I have some great pictures. It was exciting because she got ejected. So much for not being aggressive. She is coming along. I even have pictures of that.

But sadly I have no time right now, so you have to wait!

I have something to say :)

So it has been a couple of fun filled days.

Thursday - I was supposed to be off but headed into work for a couple of hours in the morning. I left as soon as I could. The girls and I finished up the 20 million errands in town that needed to be done. This included picking up Rock Band Track pack! Guess what we are doing tonight? I was headed off to a farewell party for Wendy! Wendy and her family are off on a big adventure for a year in Texas before heading off to Montana. Wendy has been a great friend and I have so enjoyed having her nearby! So we were off to munch, chat and Karaoke the night away. They were still going strong when I left. I have video. hee hee

Today the girls and I headed out to Sherry's house!!! Swimming and scrapbooking, what more can a girl ask for???

Nope, I got nothing

Nada, Zip, zero, nothing.

OK wait, I have thoughts in my head, but I need some time to get it all down.

Tomorrow I am off to see Sherry and float in her pool, that means there will be pictures. :)

Whew, that week is over!

Lets start with Sunday. Sunday I woke up and my back was hurting, little did I know later in the day that I was going to wish for it to be hurting that little again. It got worse as the day when on and I ended up in tears and freaking out that I was not going to be able to work. I rested all day trying to get to a good spot. I had lots of women praying for me.

Monday, back felt a lot better, I was really sore. I went to work and survived the day. Learned a lot at work that day. Came home and hung out with the girls. I believe that was the night we completed Rock Band!!! That is so much fun!!

Tuesday, work still in learning mode. All went well. Had Sean join us for dinner. Yummy Mexican food and lots of fun conversation. We adore Sean and his family!! (Good luck Laura at your writers workshop!) It was only Sean that got to hang out on us and he quickly got into Rock Band! It is addicting I tell you!

Wednesday, more work, I officially got screamed at by a customer. I am official. It was the joke of the night. During the day the girls and I goofed around. Princess Seriously had her first water polo game and they did well. Yeah for her!!! She is really enjoying water polo.

Thursday, Hung out with the girls, they later went to a new Italian place for dinner and raved about it. So on Friday they dragged me to the place and it was yummy!

Friday, Had a training class, that was fun because we got to recap all that we learned. Went to that yummy place for dinner. We then watched Enchanted. The original plan was to head off to the movies but there was nothing good to see in twon so we opted to hang out at home.

Saturday, today and I are off for some adventure. Not sure what yet. Seems I have some lazy butts still in bed. LOL

Rocking the night away!

I thought Rock Band would be fun to have. It was so fun, we all stayed up until 4 am, doing just one more song!

Family Fun, I highly recommend it!

The great thing about the 4th of July!

It was a great, fun filled day!!! First, I did not have to work, so that caused the party to grow a little bit! Yeah! I love to have 4th of July! We tend to spend the day in the pool and BBQing! We had a great group of friends over this year. We missed some but still had a ball.

Wordless Wednesday

Whew, where did that day go?

I started training for the new position, WHEW, those days are going fast. I was in a training class all day yesterday and at a different store today. WHEW, you look up and the day is gone!!! It is going well. I am having fun :)

Things are in adjustments, cause it is summer and summer is always strange. Princess Seriously is starting water polo. WATER POLO! Wow, she is my baby, that is gonna get beat up! Man, that is gonna be hard to watch.

Princess Girly Girl is waiting for soccer to start and can not wait. then I will be a soccer mom!!!

So things are moving and half the time I come home to tired to do anything but fall into bed, but they keep telling me things will get better!
