I am going home with you
Yesterday I made the trek down the freeway to see Amber. I do not think I have gotten over her moving and not seeing her everyday. But while I was driving down there, I was thinking well today is gonna be a day that I am going to have to think about what I am going to blog.
Little did I know what was in store for me when I got there. I thought I would blog about the Veggie Sandwich dinner I was going to subject the family to. Someone was going to whine. I just knew it. Somewhere in the last two days I decided as a family we are going to eat less meat. They do not know it yet, but they will get the hint soon. I thought I would blog about finding the mundane things and that I was so desperate to bake I was going to bake with Nathan in Amber's kitchen.
As soon I walked through her door, Nathan comes up to me and says, I am going home with you. I laugh and tell him, but then your mom will miss you. He keeps telling me that he is going home with me.
We baked a batch of brownies from scratch, have lunch, goofy around for a bit. OK confession, Amber and I talked coupons, deals and sorted. I know we are sick like that.
When it was time to wrap up, Nathan, is telling all of us that he is coming home with me. He gets his shoes on and ready. I look at Amber, guess who is coming home with me? Yep we loaded Nathan up in my car and he came with me. We had to make a stop, at the new veggie market where we discussed colors and needing nacks (snacks). He needed carrots and orange juice. I am a suckers cause I got him carrots and orange juice. Checking out he gave the carrots to the checker and said this is my nack. She gave him a sucker. We ran home to drop stuff off and then when to get the girls.
Princess Girly Girl screamed, NATHAN!!! I am so excited. He gave her a carrot. Princess Seriously did not notice until he said Hi. Then she screamed! We went home.
PGG had to go to a church activity but she was not real happy about it. Nathan hung a home for a moment while I dropped her off. He was being crazy with PS. They like hanging out. Went I got back he said, where is PGG? Then asked for a nack.
We played outside, with chalk and rode scooters. Then we sat down for dinner. Nathan wanted everything. It was adorable. LeeLee and Cat joined us too cause they could. It was veggie sandwich night. I did have some roast beef on stand by cause I was scared that everyone was going to freak. Nope! Yummy bread, a homemade cream cheese spread, cucumbers, red onions, tomatoes, alfalfa sprouts, red leaf lettuce avocado, Munster cheese and cheddar cheese! Yum! Menji was scared when I told him veggie sandwiches over the phone. I think the home made brownies helped too, that was batch number two for those following the brownies.
After dinner was Wii time, bath time and clean up time. Nathan had a bath by PS and then was stuck putting on one off PGG t-shirts. He was not thrilled with the kitty cats and heart but at least it was not pink. He survived. His dad came to get him after a work meeting and Nathan told me he was so tired. He was adorable.
So that was my very Molly Mormon day, cause I did manage to make ONE MORE batch of brownies to send with Menji to work. Cleaned up and only left a load of laundry on the table again. I was a reminder of days past when it was Tyler hanging out and my girls were 5 years younger.
I so need to do it again.

Things that drive me insane
Typos, but that is only because *I* make them.
Oh wait, this post is about so much more.
I am still on my superwomen trip. The FUNNY thing is that *I* know I am going to crash and burn and probably soon. It usually ends up, I am in a ball on the floor crying, but DANG it that floor is gonna be clean! I have half a craft room. That is right half. The other half is still in the man room. But I am bribing LeeLee (dear friend who now has a blogging nick name, I told her she was too involved in my daily life to not have a nickname.) with a Ranch Pasta dinner to come help me move the big stuff. She is no longer gonna be my friend when she sees what is left to do. I will throw myself at her feet and tell her of all the prep I had to do last night in order to get that far. Then serve her Ranch Pasta.
So last night before I went to bed, I was determined to make friends with a box of hair dye. I think the front of my hair is now all grey. Really. Stop laughing. But I hit the wall and I was in bed editing client photos and then next thing I know it is 3 am, I am dead gone with the laptop on my lap and my camera in my hand. Maggie was sleeping next to me. Remember Maggie is the dog. So there was no making friends with a box of dye. DANG IT! I did not finish the photos, BUT I did go to bed with a clean home and no dishes to wash in the sink. But the laundry is still on that table in the living room. Before Cat and her mom get to my home today I will throw it in my bedroom.
Oh wait the reason for my post title. I worked at Target now over a year ago. So a year ago, I started at my current place of employment. I thought those people drove me insane with the stupid things they would come up with. Well, I have been topped. Here is a sample of what I now deal with.
Can you please write this check out for me cause I do not know how. (I will but then I am going to put it in my account, not really but you know I thought about it)
What do you mean, an account number? (Am I suppose to guess who you are?)
I know I am overdrawn but can you cash this check anyway? (Really did you just ask that?)

I will do anything she says, Really
So I have been on a cleaning spree. Inspired my MIL moving out. Thanks. I have not even moved a single thing into the craft room. BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN CLEANING! Sheesh. I felt it last night.
Once we finished FHE (Family Home Evening), which I did not participate in Facebook wars with it. We included another family and I thought it might be rude if they did not have cool phones like the rest of us. But we did plan next Monday and the Monday after that. See I am a planner, much to my dear friend Melanie's laughter at me. We ate, the kids swam and we tried not to get blown away in the wind.
Speaking of wind, to the people that had the house before us. When you put in the pool did you even think about taking out the 15 PINE TREES? Vent over.
So all of this to say, I am still on the cleaning streak. Really. Everything was clean before I went to bed last night. Well EXCEPT the basket of laundry that I folded all the clothes and then left on the living room table. Why ask? Because every bone in my body is hurting. I crept up to bed and lie there. I asked Menji where is the Tylenol? He said downstairs do you want me to go get you some? My answer was, no, I am too tried. He laughed and said, I said I will go get it, again I answered I am too tired. I promptly rolled over and was dead to the world.
I got up this morning to find a pipe on the sprinklers in the back yard had come loose. There are a rice paddie (Menji's words) in the back yard and me yelling DO NOT step over here you are in your work clothes to Menji. This is happening while I am getting drenched and Menji steps over to another area and says here and then the water stops. Sigh, I know nothing about the outside of my home. He will fix that when he gets home.
So I am STILL TRYING to get to the point here, follow along.
After I got the girls to school, I came home and searched the entire house for Tylenol. Advil SOMETHING! I found at the bottom of under the sink a small bottle of rapid release Tylenol. WOO HOOOOOOO! I took two then fell asleep for 30 minutes. When I woke up I did not hurt as bad. WOOOO HOOOOO!
So I posted on Facebook that I was sore and hurting from cleaning, smelling like bleach and taking Tylenol. Aleksei's Mom (waving hi) then posted that cleaning with bleach is not good. *sigh* ok, I clicked on a link she posted and I vow to not clean with bleach again. Why?! Because that is what Aleksei's mom said and since I adore Aleksei and will do whatever she says that is it.
I am off after work to get White Vinegar and Hydrogen Peroxide. So there.
That was also the point to this whole post.
I also need to see Aleksei and hug him. I miss that kid. He is going to be FOUR! Sigh, I am old.

Scrubbing is what I did.
So this weekend is when my dear MIL moved out. We will miss her. Really.
I spent the weekend helping her move, that was Friday night and I will say she did a great job and got an adorable house to rent. I am excited for her. It is always difficult to have someone else living in your home no matter if you get along or not.
When I got home Friday night, I was full of energy and in the mood to reclaim my home. I scrubbed the down stairs bathroom, including the walls. Really. The shower with bleach and everything else in that bathroom. Put the deco stuff back in and up and called it a night.
Saturday was a great day of heading out the the beach to meet up with some old sorority friends. It was great to see some of the girls and we now plan on doing that every summer. My girls and Menji had a great time playing on the beach. The shells they collected were amazing. We love the beach and I would love to move back :)
We had to rush back cause Menji had a huge update to do at work but we stopped and I had a treat of PeiWei which everyone loved. Once we were home, I started again with the cleaning. LeAnn came over and we cleaned the (what will be once again) the craft room carpet and yuck is all I can say. Ewwww. Cleaning carpets are nasty. Once LeAnn and her cute daughter went home, I went to town dusting, scrubbing the stove, oven, and kitchen in general. Then I ran out and grabbed a wet swiffer. Where have I been cause I missed how fabulous these are. I just got the basic. I am in love. I usually steam the tile clean, but there was just something about this that I am just in love.
So I scrubbed down my house this weekend. I still have more cause I am on a roll. I also an moving my craft room, which will be so fun. But here I go!

Your laugh for today.
So PGG says she is being teased because of her tummy. Ok, I can relate. So lets talk about food choices and being active. She is NOT my sports girl. She would rather do an art project then get all hot and sweaty. We had to talk about that too.
So we decide, fruit and veggie snacks and I run off to get a ton of fruits and veggies Tuesday. I also had the bright idea of going on a bike ride with the girls after school yesterday.
I used to bike when I was a teenager. Like 27 miles to the beach and back via the flood control channel. Somewhere along the line from there I would keep falling off my bike and decided I hate biking. Well I have a bike but I decided to drag Menji's old bike down and not use mine.
That was the BIGGEST mistake of my life....
See our neighborhood goes slightly downhill. I was great on the way to the other side of the neighborhood. Really. My butt was hurting a little from the seat but other then that I was keeping up and hanging in there. When it was time to turn around, I thought I was gonna die. Why is it that what must go down must also head up. The next home I by will be in the flattest part of town.
Really.
The girls are way ahead of me at one point. PS circles back to find out where her old mom is. I am trying to just keep going. My butt is on fire, the bike seems not to be moving forward and I want to throw down the bike and cry. I can not do any of that in front of the girls. So I send them off and tell them I will catch up but head toward home and I will be there.
I think they got there 20 minutes before me. I had to stop at one point to breathe. Sheesh. That and my aching butt. When I rounded the corner and was almost home, I was done. SO done, I walked the bike home. PS could finally see me and she is standing there will a glass of ice water and take the bike.
She was trying not to laugh. That brat.
Later last night I went to take a bath and I swear my butt was on fire. I sat in the tub for at least 30 minutes. Then I made it to bed and passed out.
I just want you all to know that I am standing at work today.

Random Thoughts
I read other peoples blogs, I am on facebook, I twitter and I love it all. I am not sure why but there are times when I find other peoples thoughts just what I need. They are inspiring, heart wrenching, funny and sometimes just life in general.
You think grass is greener over there but sometimes you find out it is not. It is just life. You just deal with what is given to you. Life is crappy, life is funny, life is life. But it is what you make of it. There are ups and there are down. You never know when it will hit you, that is just part of life.
I am in a different place then where I was say a year ago, 2 years ago, 5 and so on. There are some days that I want off my ride and there are others that I would not want to be without it.
I was reading on a blog that the best thing you can do is just accept what is given to you and just keep going. That does not mean that you can not change it, be upset or whatever but after you take that moment to just be in the moment then just go on.
I know that this does not make much sense, but that is ok, to someone it will. It will be like a light on in a dark path, because that is what you needed. I know reading what I read on someone else's blog what the light I needed. You just do it, accept and go on.
So there you have it. Another random thought just for you.

Taco Thursday
Sadly I am lacking in the picture department but lets just say it was Taco Thursday and it was a blast.
It started as having the missionsaires for dinner. I invited LeAnn and daughter to tag along cause that is just what we do. Then I realize Emily and family were in town. So the dinner became a party. It was an insane day as it was my day off, so I was trying to cram it all into one day. Thank goodness for good friends who hauled half there home over and then helped finish dinner. Emilly arrived and I shortly put her to work and we were ready for taco fest to begin.
Princess Seriously made some flat cupcakes that were a success and Princess Girly Girl frosted them perfect. YUMMY! I think the kids need to make more cupcakes.
We sat around while the kids splashed around in the pool and had a great time.
It was a blast.

Kraft Deal At Albertsons
Ok, this is the 2nd attempt at this post because I lost everything in thelast one, bummer cause it was good and funny.
So I told you all to RUN to Albertsons and get in on the Kraft Deals. I thought I would take a moment to post about how I did. Remember your results may vary. In the end I will have paid .99 for the bagels that I had to have cause bagels in our home go like mad. It does not matter that they were the day old from the bakery bagels because since I got them yesterday and there were 8 of them, there are only TWO left. Yep TWO. So the deal was a good one for me because I stocked up on a bunch of lunch stiff for the girls and I may even be nice and make Menji some lunches in there too. But I would love to see the look on teir faces when they open their lunch boxes today cause there was some good stuff in there. For the record, Princess Seriously deos not take a lunch box. She crams it all into her purse and I am POSITIVE that she eats a smushed sandwich everyday.
OK so back to how I did.
Italin dressing mix 4-pack
Kraft Mayo
Kraft Mayo (yes two of them)
Mini packs of marshmellows (PGG will die when she opens her lunch today)
Kraft Ranch Salad Dressing (I have kids, there is never enough ranch in the house)

Kraft American cheese (yes two PS eat grilled cheese like mad)

Wheat thins (great substitute for chips at lunch)
Cream Cheese (Chive and onion)
Cream Cheese (Garden Veggie for the bagels)
Nabisco 12 pack of assorted cookies
So that came to 30.53, I had 4.50 in coupons (Mayo, Ranch dressing, cheese and wheat thins) had the bagels in there for .99. So the total of the Kraft stuff was 22.52. I got the $5 off coupon and the $20 mail in rebate so I made 3.47 when all is said and done. Not bad for a day.
So now I will mail in my stuff and get my rebate but first I am gonna go spend my $5. I was gonna go do it again, but it is only one rebate household. Bummer, but I am still happy!
So I told you all to RUN to Albertsons and get in on the Kraft Deals. I thought I would take a moment to post about how I did. Remember your results may vary. In the end I will have paid .99 for the bagels that I had to have cause bagels in our home go like mad. It does not matter that they were the day old from the bakery bagels because since I got them yesterday and there were 8 of them, there are only TWO left. Yep TWO. So the deal was a good one for me because I stocked up on a bunch of lunch stiff for the girls and I may even be nice and make Menji some lunches in there too. But I would love to see the look on teir faces when they open their lunch boxes today cause there was some good stuff in there. For the record, Princess Seriously deos not take a lunch box. She crams it all into her purse and I am POSITIVE that she eats a smushed sandwich everyday.
OK so back to how I did.

Mini packs of marshmellows (PGG will die when she opens her lunch today)
Kraft Ranch Salad Dressing (I have kids, there is never enough ranch in the house)

So that came to 30.53, I had 4.50 in coupons (Mayo, Ranch dressing, cheese and wheat thins) had the bagels in there for .99. So the total of the Kraft stuff was 22.52. I got the $5 off coupon and the $20 mail in rebate so I made 3.47 when all is said and done. Not bad for a day.

Summer Recap
Since tomorrow is the first day of school, I thought I would recap what we have been running around doing all summer.
We watched a couple of fights and some waterpolo broke out. We spent a lot of time at the pool.
We watched a very important Little League Game
We went to the beach a few times...
We went to Sea World
In between all of that, we swam in our pool, hung out with friends and just tried to have a good time. I know there are a few more months of summer but the girls are back in school so our summer is officially over.

Saving Money is like a Game
In the year 2005 I was really prompted to work on our food storage and getting the entire family taking up that challenge. I took that entire year and did excatly what I was prompted to do. I did a ton of research and found what would work for me. That year I joined The Grocery Game. It is a great service that you pay for a list at your favorite store and it tell you what coupons to use when. It was really easy and I did it all at one store. Great.
2005 is also the year that we had the house fire, December 5th. That food storage paid for the entire kitchen remodel. I was confess that I should have taken that money and just put it right back into food storage but I was a little angry. That I had followed that prompting and then it all went into flames, literally. Side funny note, when they came to assess the damage, I was asked why did we have so much food, where we Mormon? When I answered yes, they asked if I had a full year of food storage for all out family. Again the answer was yes and they were impressed and I think the total was upped a bit because they had experience with the Mormon Food Storage. LOL
I really did not get back into it until last year again. I do it differently now because there are many more resources then there were in 2005.
Now I use www.couponmom.com It is a free service and *I* generally pick a store and go. Sometimes I need more things then others and I really look for the deals. There are people that go from store to store, if that works for you then go for it. If that does not work for you then do not do it.
Amber finally got on board and she was so excited that she had someone to talk to about cutting coupons. She even started a blog in her ward....

Woo Hoo Cheescake Factory
I had the chance to meet with some of my favorite super secret society scrapbooking women on Friday evening. Cheesecake Factory! Bonus!
The funny thing is that is the day I went with the girls school shopping, I kind left the house half done, not in the condition of meet up with people. Light make up, a shirt that needed to be changes after the marathon day of shopping and NO CAMERA!
So when I figured out that I was not gonna have time to head home, I was gonna drop the kids with Menji and keep going I panicked. PS helped me pick out a cute, bright shirt at Old Navy and fix my hair cause I did happen to wear it curly and then she thrust her make up bag at me. I up until that point had never been so grateful the kid wore make up.
After throwing the kids at Menji, I went off to meet up and laugh and up with my friends.
Key Lime Cheesecake is my favorite!!! But chatting and laughing the night away is even better!
