For Better or For Worse
I love this comic strip. I have been following it for as long as I can remember which is a long time. It has made me teary eyed that Elizabeth got married over the weekend You know how when you are growing up it seems that there is a perfect family you would love to be in? Well there family was it for me. I wanted to be part of a comic strip family. That thought now cracks me up.
So if you are a fan, head over and check out the strip. You can read it online and catch up.

On another note, I received a job offer yesterday, it is something that is completely perfect with the hours and everything. That was direct answer to a prayer. I am going in today for a background check and I am excited. It all just fell into place and I am excited about then next goofy adventure. :)

How do I even begin?
I have thought about this post all day and I am am still at a loss, how does one even begin? It is a heartfelt and thoughtful post. One that makes me go hummmm.
It seems that is was time for a trial of my faith. It happens every so often. I should learn to expect it but I don't. I just get blindsided and then pick up the pieces and continue on. I think a trial is a good thing, while not fun but still good because when you on the other side you are able to look back and say, wow.
It appeared that the strong people were are under attack. I have watch dear friends go through some pretty rough trials of their faith. it is so hard to watch. It makes me ache and cry for them. It make my start to think. The BOOM, my own personal trial is sitting right there for me to deal with. The one thing I can say is that I am so blessed. I have such a wonderful DH that is there for me. He is my rock, he is my best friend, he is my dear husband. I truly know why I have been married to him for almost 16 years. I am also blessed to have some really wonderful friends. There are three that have been very instrumental in helping my through this. I believe that they were inspired to say just the right thing at just the right time. These three women are incredibly faithful women and I love faithful women. I am always amazed but the faith women have, that we can endure such trials and keep going to make it to the other side.
To these three women, they will know who they are. I simply love you. To my friend that listened to me cry and then told me simply, write, write it all down. That has been wonderful. Writing, I love to write, not that you could tell from this blog. To my other friend that said, you are looking in the wrong place, this is where you need to look. This is who you need to call. I would have never thought to look the places that you told me to look. It has made all the difference. To my third dear friend, your music is what made the difference. I was VERY guided to ask you specifically for the music. If you only knew, it touched my soul. These three women and wonderful examples to me.
So about this trial, I am not completely through it, but I can see the light and that is a wonderful feeling. Heavenly Father will get me through this. He places the right people in the right places. In order to feel joy, you must feel pain and be able to joy to the fullest. Like other trials in life, there is an end. You just must hand it all over to God and say, I give this all to you. I can not do this without You. I have handed it over and there is nothing like the feeling.

There is a new Ref in town, be scared.
Did I tell you all that Poor Princess Seriously got suckered into becoming a referee for Princess Girly Girls team to earn extra points. It seems that year there were not enough volunteers for anything so the league decided to be really super strict about how the teams would get points to get to the playoffs. SO basically your team can completely suck and get in based off volunteer points. That is great for PGG's team cause they have a ton of new players on her team. So why PS? At the time of sign ups I was still working. So PS was kind enough to do this for her.
So after a class, a couple of tests and so training, it was time. Up and out the door by 7:15 on a Saturday morning. Augh that was early. Princess Seriously received her shirt, her whistle and her flags. She was assigned to a great head referee that was wiling to teach her lots.
She even got to yell at a few parents that would not move off the sidelines. At first she was being really nice to them but after repeated asking them to please move, she could not take it anymore. She put her best voice on and yelled, if you do not stay off the actual SIDELINE I will be tell you to leave your childs game. Wow she did not have any more problems after that.
She did ref a second game because they were so short on referees. It did mean she missed her sisters game but she got them extra points. She looked so official because we had a credit at the local sports store so we went an picked up the black socks and cleats for her. She felt so much more official.

Well, what do you expect?
So for the next few months the blog is going to be about a couple of things.
1. Soccer
2. Water Polo
But I bet you knew that was coming. LOL
I also found out today another piece of exciting news. I am going to work two more craft shows with a vendor :) I love doing those! I have no idea why but I just have fun! I am excited!
Today we are off to church. After that I am sure I will manage to come up with ANOTHER soccer post, I mean I still have yesterdays games to talk about. ROTF!

Even more soccer
First day of school
Wednesday was the first day of school for the girls. I was not sure I was ready for it. Princess Seriously "officially" started high school. I say "officially" because she took a class in summer school to help get ahead. There was just something different about taking her and leaving her there all day. Princess Girly Girl started 3rd grade.
Have I told you lately, I am feeling old? If not let me tell you now, I am feeling old.
So here are the first day of school pictures that have a story behind them.

See that lovely morning sun. I thought I could just photoshop it out. Well I can then then the pictures sucks. :(

This one is "ok"

Stupid Sun.
So I was not happy. The next day I woke up and decided to do a do-over.

See much better :)

So that is the first day of school reenactment. LOL

Soccer Star
Princess Girly Girl announced at the beginning of summer that she was done with swimming for a bit. Ok, I think 2 years in swimming is not bad. Soccer was next on her list. I was a bit worried, cause she is starting a bit late, she does not run fast and kicking a ball in a straight line? So far so good. She is still not the fastest and the ball thing is coming along but she is having a blast. That and I get some great pictures!
So this is where I will be in the months to come, either on the soccer field or sitting by the pool. Until October please send ice water, then please send hot chocolate.

The life of a dog
In my blog header is Menjers. She is DH's dog. She is all about him. I am tolerated when he is gone. There are 4 things in her life that matter.
1. DH
2. Food (actually the trash can but I am trying to be nice)
3. Her ball
4. A nap on the couch
I vacuum that couch at least twice a week. More if company is coming. Another reason I am grateful for the Dyson.
Wouldn't you like to lead this dogs life?

That was her morning. The afternoon was spent in the pool chasing after her ball. She will do anything for her ball, including jumping in the pool to get it. I love the afternoons because she sleeps all night from being so tired.
It sucks to be Menjers doesn't it? Poor thing.

Leftover Chicken - Yum
Last night was chicken for dinner. We ended up having extra, even better. I and finding new ways to deal with leftover beside sending them with DH for lunch. So I did not think to stop and take pictures. But that would have been good. I will think about it next time.
So draw a mental picture for me, ok?
Dice up leftover chicken - Imagine a picture of a cutting board, knife and chicken being diced.
Throw it in a bowl. See a green bowl.
I used craisins but you can use grapes, if you have them on hand. If you use grapes slice them in half. If it was my picture then you would see a bag of craisins and me grabbing a handful.
Throw it in the same bowl as the chicken. See green bowl.
Find some nuts, (walnuts, almonds, pecans) if they are not sliced then slice them. I had some sliced Italian seasoned almonds on hand. See bag of sliced almonds.
Throw then in the bowl with everything else. Again, see the green bowl, wait, I think it has a chip on it :(
One stick of string cheese. Slice it up, throw it in the bowl. Are you seeing a trend here? See the shipped green bowl.
Season the bowl of stuff with some Sea Salt and Dill. See sea salt, dill and chipped green bowl.
I am watching my weight (GO DOWN) and only used one spoon of Mayo. You can use as much as you want. Mix, mix, mix. See Mayo, and chipped green bowl with stuff in it. Dang I need a new bowl, the chip is really bugging me now.
Viola, yummy chicken salad. Serve as you like. Sandwich, salad, etc.
Enjoy :)

Catching up
So it seems that whenever I make a life change I always clean the house first. So today I have spent the day cleaning in strange places. Like my master bathroom, from top to bottom. It is squeaky clean now. When DH came home he was very surprised. Then I tackled the towels. You know after swimming all summer and they get that moldy, icky smell. Well no more. Fresh and clean.
Tomorrow I am sure that I will find something else to scrub away at. Princess Seriously has a sports physical fro water polo and swim for high school. Oh boy. The exciting things before school starts.
I have a couple of things in the works for the blog so stay tuned. It is just gonna take a couple of days.

Been MIA but back now
It has been an interesting couple of days to say the least.
We had a good weekend which included heading out to Sherry's for the babies birthday! He is a cutie. The DH's finally got to meet :) It was all good.
Couple of things happened at work and I am done. It was time to move on. I think I am actually relieved that it all happened. I will no doubt miss the miss money but can I tell you being home has been sweeter. Trying to arrange schedules was becoming a nightmare and I think being at all of Princess Seriously's water polo games and Princess Girly Girls soccer game is much better.
So we start a new chapter.

Beetle
We went to meet Sherry for lunch. We were eating outside waiting for Sherry. Big Beetle. Princess Seriously screamed. Mom ran inside. Poor Princess Girly Girl is sitting at table protecting our food.
Sad I tell you. Sherry saw it all.
Sad I tell you. Sherry saw it all.
Old
I am feeling SUPER old today.
Princess Seriously is at high school getting her school schedule fixed for the coming school year. I know she did summer school at high school to get a class out of the way but it has hit me this morning. HIGH SCHOOL. I remember when she was first born, it all seemed so far away. Now it is here. Oh my. I am not ready. Nope.
Last night one of the young cashiers was surprised at all the grey hair I have at the front of my hairline. That I was way to young to have all that grey. When I told her, I am 36, have a 14 year old, been married for almost 16 years, her jaw ht the ground.
So I am feeling my age today. BUT with newly dyed hair!!! LOL
