my head is POUNDING!

The Temporary House

So while our home is been rebuilt, we are in this temporary house. I don't really like it. Yes it is bigger then MY home...

BUT

1)I do not like the color of it.
2)There are NO closets!
3)There are many things that need to be replaced in this house.
4)The neighbors house keeps getting broke into.

Well let me clarify that. Two weeks ago they really broke into it. Mind you Princess Girly Girl and I were sitting right here. Right next door. We heard the dog bark, but I guess they were already inside. We were right here.

Fast forward to yesterday morning. Dogs are going nuts again. I poke my head outside and there is someone in their back yard. Black hoodie and green gardening gloves are on. I call 911.

This morning the dogs are going nuts again. I keep poking my head out, nothing, I see nothing. But I do hear this guys screaming at my neighbor. He threatened her. I guess she was out walking and kept looking at him. The neighbor two doors down, her dh comes out and starts asking the guy, what do you need. He screams some more. The two door down neighbor puts her car in the neighbors driveway because we know she is not home and if it is them snooping around again. Then the Neighbor comes home and sees the other neighbors car in her driveway. She freaks and calls 911 and she hides in my bushes and is tapping on my windows. I am upstairs and do not hear her. I feel so bad.

So the cops come and they are gone. We are up in arms. The neighborhood is in a good area. The only strange thing is that the neighbors Dh is a sheriff. Are they harassing him? Are they trying to hurt his family? What exactly are they trying to do.

I am scared. I am scared that I am here and all this is going on. I am scared that my girls are here with me. I hate not being in my home. This is not to say that my home is any safer. But you just feel better there, you know.

So here we are on patrol now. We are all trying to take back the neighborhood. We will be diligent and be out there every morning so that we will be aware of what it going on.

Dang, I miss my home......

Washer and Dryer

So today we broke down and got new ones. I will tell you that I upgraded what I had because...

a) I WAS NOT GETTING ANOTHER KENMORE!
b) Kenmore is the one paying for the the new nes in the end.
c) it was on sale
d) I really wanted it.

So check out what I got. Ok I maybe a bit spoiled.

Happy Birthday times TWO

So, Dh's and Princess Girly Girl's birthday are on the SAME day. You know on the actual day of Princess Girly Girl's birth, we hd a big dinner planned, but she had other plans, Dh was so excited that he was getting a daughter on his birthday. When it was time to puch he could not get her out fast enough because he wanted her born on HIS birthday. She was born at 10:51 pm. Him and the nurse were cheering me on, to make sure that she was born on the right day. It makes for a long day because I am real big on, giving them both equal time on their birthdays. So that usually means party for the Princess and Dinner for DH. Princess Girly Girl had the party, with 6 little girlfriends, party games, and cake. She loved every minute of it. Then their was some down time (and the hallmark channel) and it was dinner time.

We got the exciting pleasure of going to Benihanas for dinner. I was slightly scared when they could not find our reservations. I did call and make them. I hate that. We were not the only ones, the couple right behind us, they could not find theirs either. The guy panicked, made a comment about saving for two months and they were eating dinner there that night. We all got seated together. We did not have to wait :) We had so much fun, picking and choosing what we were going to eat. It was fun to see the girls watch the chef make our dinner in front of us. They all tried new things and got things they enjoyed. Princess Seriously got steak and chicken and munched away. Princess Girly Girl got steak and shrimp and ate as much as she possibly could. They also got sung to, both of them and eyes lit up from both of them. Dh loves to eat good food and always enjoys a good dinner. He loves that the girls can enjoy and have a good time. It is always fun to watch them.

So back to the couple. The comments he made, really stuck. I could NOT sake the feeling that I needed to pay for their dinner. So when the check came I had the waitress combine the checks. Dh had no clue what going on. The guy tried to give Dh the money then figured out what was going on. He told the guy he needs to fight that battle with me. I would not take their money. I have no idea why I had to do it, but I NEEDED to. They were grateful. I hope all is well with them.

Today was such a great day. I love when all goes well and my family is happy, we all have a great time together. I am so grateful for them. I am so blessed.

Real men watch...

...the Hallmark channel with their wives. Somehow I got to watching the Hallmark channel while DH was snoozing on the couch. Ok it is a really long story but him and his friend were snoozing after Princess Girly Girls birthday party. So I started watching the Hallmark channel. So the wake up and start watching Love Come Softly with me. We had to go to dinner after that because it is Dh's birthday too. So he got so into it, that he wanted to record the rest of it. But the other 2 chapters of the story were after that so we recorded those too. So as I type we are watching part 2, Love's Enduring Promise. So Real Men watch the Hallmark Channel and love it.

It was my goal to...

... lay in bed until 9 am. It almost made it.

I remember the time when I could sleep until noon. I mean what better things are there to do? Dh used to go nuts. He would be so bored. Well then Princess Seriously came along. No more sleeping until noon. I will say I DID successfully teach my children DO NOT GET UP at the crack of dawn, if you value your life. Princess Seriously can sleep until 9 or 10 am. Princess Girly Girl is a 12 hour sleeper. So whatever time you put her to bed she wakes up 12 hours later. Never put the child to bed at 7 pm.

I digress, so DH has started getting up at the crack of dawn. Fine, just don't expect me to get up. So I laid in bed until a little after 8:30 because Maggie (the dog) started barkin up a storm. After having the next door neighbors house broke into, I no longer ignore the dog barking. Seems the meter reader was meter reading. Go figure.

So DH stares, he is bored. Up he goes to take a shower. We have stuff to do today. Have to get stuff for birthday parties this weekend. DH and Princess Girly Girl's birthdays are the same day. But I will leave that post for tomorrow. The shower just turned off....

I am very excited!

Tomorrow and Monday are no school days! Do you know what that means? That means I DO NOT have to run carpool, I do not have to get up early. I don't have to be anywhere!

Ok wait in my excitment I have forgotten that there are two members of our family that have birthdays this weekend. Dh and Princess Girly Girl. Yep Same day. Two parties in one day. But that makes Monday even better, because I can sleep in.

Can you tell the level of excitement? April is also coming and that is an entire month of no school. We are year round here. Well until August that is and then we go to a tradition school year. I am kinda bummed about that, it was nice being on two months and off one month.

So don't call me early Friday morning or early Monday morning because I will be snuggled in bed.

Finally some movement on the house....

I was only too excited to pick up the phone and hear that we had an expense check waiting for us. It has been over two month since the house fire. I have carried most of the expenses on my credit cards. I hate paying finance charges. So there it sat. I was not too happy. Bills paid!

Then I went by the house and there were cars there. So I went to find out what was going on. Seems Whirlpool wanted the see the damage done to the house. So they took a ton of pictures and off they went.

The city inspector came down today to see what codes were going to have to be updated.

We also got the check to begin construction. DANG it! it was written to the WRONG mortgage company. See it sits in a escrow acount cause the mortgage company wants to make sure that you will fix your house. Well dang it! Hurry up and wait cause I want to start construction already.

So we are moving forward. Perhaps by this time next week, I will be posting about progress. A girl can hope can't she.

Today is a Bunch of Random Thoughts, that just need to come out.

My neighbor caught me talking to a little gray cat that comes to see our cat. I was full on having a conversation with it. I think she thinks I am nuts. But come on if you listen hard enough you can hear what the animals are saying.

3) My nails

I am strange I know!

Sometimes I get tired of running my kids everywhere they need to be. I am tried of going to ballet and swimming. I am tired of getting up to take the kids to school. I think I am just tired. LOL

We had so much stuff sitting in the garage, that we will be able to do the windows and the kitchen. That is sad. I vow never to have that much stuff sitting in my garage again.

I miss my house. I miss my craft room, I miss my shower and tub. Heck I miss cleaning my house.

My Friend Donnann

So like she decided that life was too boring and it is time to move across the country to Illinois (that is where you are moving right?). Actually her sweet Dh got a job transfer so that is why they are off on this adventure. I am sad cause Donnann and I were having fun scrapbooking together. We would also have late night chats on IM (which we still can have) and talking about swaps and stuff. They funny thing is that we have daughters the same age and our daughters have never met. We thought there would be plenty of time to do everything that we wanted to.

Well the last couple of days we have been packing up and today was it. The house is packed and empty. Donnann is off to have fun with her kids before they leave. *sniff* I think we held it together pretty good. She will be back during the summer and I am sure that once we all fight for time with her we all will get some time. LOL

Donnann is such a sweet person. She took a leap of faith and came to my house to scrapbook without even knowing me. We had a ball. We knew we were stuck together pretty much after that.

I promise Donnann that our friendship is nowhere near being over. LOL I will HAVE to go check out her new home but not when it is cold!!! LOL
