I did not want to go in the first place...

Really. I am almost 34 years old. I could have gone for the rest of my life without the news I got today. I had a cavity. Yep, you got that right, 34 and never had a cavity. I was terrified. I was also lucky the only thing I ate for breakfast was a banana. I am sure that the dentist would not have been impressed if I threw up all over her. There was little time to panic. OH MY HECK. It took FOUR shots to numb my month and it was not even numb all the way until we were done. Figures. The dentist said she was going to put a note in my chart that I did not numb fast.

Ok I am off to take more advil...

Internet friends

You know I got a call tonight from a friend that I met through the internet. She is scrapbooking friend.

Dh and I were laughing that all my friends of late seem to be people that I have met on the internet. That got me thinking, so bear with me as I think about my internet friends.

I quit my job to be a SAHM on June 14th 2002. Until them I would get about 100 emails in my email box. My first thought when quitting is so is going to email me now? I went on yahoo groups and found a Mormon SAHM group. This quickly filled my in box. This first group went to another group. I love this group. I have been with them ever since. I think what really got me together is May 10th 2003, the day I was moving to current (burned) house, I got a phone call... Adam died. The was the Dh to a friend that was only 25 with 2 little girls. 5 women said they wanted to come out for the funeral. I quickly offered my home up as a place to stay. I never met any of these women. So here they come. I quickly made friends with Melanie.

Melanie and I were like sisters right off the bat. We knew what each other were thinking, we knew each others lives. It was scary that people would ask us if were were sisters right off the bat. We still get that to this day. She is incredibility giving a sweet. I have learned so much from her and I hope that I have taught here things as well. We really enjoy the time that we spend together and we are so luckily that we have DH's that love to spend time together. We travel together well. We also have snuck off to see some of our other Lister Sisters. Melanie leads to another friend.

Xina. Xina is the list owner of my favorite email list. See I had never met her. That was before the big Disneyland retreat. Xina hopped on a plane and came out to meet some of us. We spent a week together. We had a ball. I will always love love love the Tower of Terror and the Aladdin show because of her. Melanie and I hopped a plane to go see her last May. That was so fun. We are doing that again this year.

Then there is Polly, Polly and I like to do crazy things. We like to do crazy things. She was one of the women at Disneyland and we went to a Dr. Phil taping together. We have matching clothes (thanks Dr. Phil) and laugh t each other all the time. Polly is full of fun and laughter.

Then we go the crazy Internet scrapbooking friend. Donnann. She Donnann took a leap of faith and came out to my house to scrapbook together. She organized all the food and had the other women coming all organized. She is an amazing women. She is a wonderful scrabooker and mom. She recently moved to another state. I was lucky to spend a lot of time right before she moved. I helped her pack up and she even came to take a break over here. Now she is far away and I am already making plans to go out and see her.

Now there are other friends I have met. I am sure there will be more. I am already making plans to meet Kimberly!!!

So there are wonderful things that come out of the internet. :)

Someone asked how my day was.

Well it was not the best day. I guess being the day after and looking back is better. it went like this.

Me: My house construction started yesterday yippee.

Then we got the news that we were not going to be in the house before august. I miss my house.

Email friend: oh my heck girl!! that is just crazy. I don't know what I would do

Me: Cry then yell and then be grateful that you even have a house to be fixed and then be grateful for the house you are renting and that you have a roof over your head. And then get angry again and take everything out of the boxes that you have packed because you decide that you can not live on the bare minimum anymore and you need familiar stuff around. Then laugh because you have all your stuff up on walls and empty room. (now mind you none of this furniture in this house is mine, it is all rental. I just have like curtains and soft stuff that could be washed and a couple of other things.)

And you cry again and go to bed and wake up the next day with a better out look because you are grateful again….

Then you step on the scale and realize all the stress has made you lose weight and you get back on the treadmill and run some more…

Then you come and vent to your email friends. LOL. Because if you take it out on your DH again while he is gone then he is most likely going to not want to come home.

Braceface

So the top row is halfway on. We she does get the bar until 2 weeks from today. Then they will attempt the bottom in about 2 months. As soon as here overbite is better. Princess Seriously was somewhat relieved to do this in stages. She was terrified that her mouth would hurt for days. Instead, it will hurt for longer. I was too afraid to burst her bubble and tell her instead of it all being over at once, you will have to keep going in stages.

So tonight she went to youth group at church. Of course the most obnoxious kid was there. The whirlwind I like to call her. Princess Seriously said as soon as I saw her I knew she would somehow knock me in my mouth. Of course it happened. Megan said Mom I just about passed out. Me being the mom wants to go kill the kid. I asked princess what was she doing? She was twirling around and hanging on people. Of course she jumped on me and my lips got stuck on my brace. I thought my lip was going to be ripped apart. Poor Princess Seriously.

So that was the first night out adventure......

Tomorrow is a big day

See DD11 (Princess Seriously, and yes she is called that because she walks around saying Seriously all day) is almost 12. Her birthday is coming up soon. But tomorrow is the dreaded day she is not excited about. Well let me take that back, she will be excited about the end result in 12 to 18 months. But the process on GETTING BRACES is freaking her out. Yep you got that, $2100 to increase her cuteness factor. LOL her teeth are not that bad, but since we never had braces we thought it would be fun to make sure she got them.

I might be nice since her birthday is coming up and allow her to wear some more make up. See when she hit middle school, I got her a bunch of colored lip gloss. She really might need some foundation, since she swims it makes her face blotchy. The kid is in the water EVERY DAY for swim team. That also means her mom is there EVERY DAY watching her. I will admit, I have been a chicken about the cold and have been staying in the car with a blanket watching a movie with Princess Girly Girl.

So tomorrow I am sure I am going to have to hear about her mouth hurting. Help me please and pass the bottle of Advil....

Things I did on vacation....

Did you know that when a person goes to Vegas they can actually stay away from the casinos? Ok well I take that back, I did find a quarter on the floor and joked with Dh that it was the lucky quarter. It is really hard to find an actual machine that take a quarter. But we would not have even been in a casino if DH hadn't wanted to go to the NASCAR store in the Sahara. Then my Girlfriend and I went to the M&M store and that was all the casinos that we saw. We did not even go to the new Wynn hotel.

It is a sad day when you are sad because the scrapbook store is closed on Sunday. That was the store down the street from our hotel. But that is ok because on Saturday we were at the M&M store and then we found a Michaels. I think we went somewhere else but it s all a blur now. Oh I remember, we went to a scrapbook store. Scrapping Time MEGA store. It was fun.

Catching up and THE headache

So on Tuesday of last week, I got this headache. I thought taking a couple of pills would make it all go away. BUT no! I just went to bed early. I woke up on Wednesday with a blinding headache. I thought I was going to die or at least throw up. I managed to get the girls to where they needed go that day and then came home and threw up. I sacked out on the couch and the girls made dinner for them. I felt so bad. That was also the day DH had to stay out late. I survived and went to bed. Thursday I got up and had to go to friends house, she sat me down fed me orange juice and tylenol. She wanted me to sleep their. She said I looked about 10 shades of green. I made it home and passed out. I managed to get the girls and Dh came home and took good care of me. I was so stressed out because we were to leave for Vegas to meet friends. Well heck I wanted to be there. I was going to spend a weekend with my dear friend. I managed to make. Friday, I woke up and there was hope.

That headache, from what people tell me was a migraine. I thought I was going to die. So if that happens again, please take me out back and shoot me. It would be MUCH easier!

Fake Cheese

So I had a discussion with Princess Girl Girly about eating lunch at school. See she is very picky about what she eats at school.

PGG: Mom what is for lunch?
Me: Not sure we need to look it up
PGG: ok lets go
We walk to the computer.
Me: It is mac and cheese
PGG: *Gagging sounds being made, gasping for air* - I need to take my lunch today
Me: But it is your favorite
PGG: But it is FFFAAAAKKKEEEE CCCHHHEEESSEEEE, Fake I tell you. *still gagging*
Me: Good thing we checked.
PGG: I would have eaten anything but that. No Fake Cheese for me.
Me: So what is fake cheese
PGG: *Gagging Sound* there s no sauce and all this crusty cheese is stuck to the noodles.
Me: You sure about that?
PGG: uh YEAH, like the fake mac and cheese that you make at Thanksgiving
Me: Princess that is Baked Mac and Cheese
PGG: no real mac and cheese needs to have the water like easy mac OR milk like the box OR the little foil packets, NOT cheese stuck to a noodle. I should KNOW I am a kid and mac and cheese is my FAVORITE.

Ok so the kid knows her mac and cheese. There was no fake cheese at lunch today for her.

Sometimes it is worth being a Mom

There are days where I would like to hide under the covers. There are mornings that I have to get up BEFORE the crack of dawn. Today was one of those days. I really don't like being a parent at 5:45 am. LOL.

So off we went to the swim meet for Princess Seriously. She was not excited as she was doing two of her hardest events first. The 200 meter free style. That is 8 laps. Timed. First swim. She was nervous. But she made it. She tired out and I thought she blew it, come to find out that she took 20 seconds off her time!!!! We were so excited!!!

The second race was the 100 meter butterfly. That was the first time doing it. Her for was wonderful!!! There were lots of people that commented. She did really well. Got tired on the last half of the last lap. Her time was a good time. Coach was happy.

The next two were thing she had done before. 50 back and 50 free. She decreased her times in those. That is always a good thing! We were excited.

Swim meets are always long. It is fine balance of what to eat and drink and when to do that. I personally am burnt to a crisp on my chest and man does it hurt. But it really was proud mommy moments for me today!

So today I took a piece of my life back.

The new washer and dryer came today. I can not believe how much beter that made me feel. It made me feel I took a piece of my life back. Before, using the rental washer and dryer made me feel yucky. I am not even sure how to describe it. But putting a load in made me feel like I was in control of MY life today. See before the fire I had a front loader and I really liked it. So thanks to the insurance I was able to go out and get a new front loader. (Ok a top of the line front loader and dryer)

See the rental one were just the regular kind and there is nothing wrong with those, but I would panic when the tub would fill up because I felt like I was wasting so much water. But now, I use less water. I know a REALLY strange thing to worry about.

So I got happy today, I was EXCITED to do the laundry. I am completely nuts.

But it felt so good........
