A bunch of little things

So Princess Seriously is at camp. Princess Girly Girl is the one NOT handling it well. The first night she broke down bawling that she missed her sister torturing her. I mean sobbing. I was doing well until she started, then I realized I really had not talked to her all day. That is soooo strange. Being that she has a cell phone we talk all the time. For camp they were not allowed to take them up. As much as I wanted her stick it in her bag and sneak out and call I was good. I really hope she is having a ball.

All PGG and I have been doing is running around like mad people. Today we will attempt to sit at hoe and do nothing. I am looking forward to it but not sure if PGG will agree.

It is sooo hot here. The rental house A/C is awful. I wanna go home. The house is moving along quite nicely. Hopefully before the end of time we will be back in the house, with the nice A/C unit.

I have been scrapbooking up a storm. But what else is new?

This upcoming week

This week, I have to face some realities that I am not sure I want to face. Sometimes it is very hard to know that the girls are growing up.

Monday we will be spending all day getting Princess Seriously ready for her first week of girls camp. I am so not ready for this. This will officially be her first week away from home without any of us. I remember girls camp, she is going to the same girls camp that I went to. I remember the first couple of years that I went to girls camp. I made lots of friends. I had a ball. As the year went on I hated every minute of girls camp. But there was also a lot going on in my life. So hopefully she never has that feeling. She does not think so but I know I am going to miss her terribly. I will not be sleeping. I will not get the phone call that tells me all is good. There are no cell phones allowed at camp. grrrr.

I also need to face the Princess Girly Girl is going to be in 1st grade and that I will have not have anyone at home in August. They are growing up too fast for me.

So don't mind me if I am a little weepy. I have girls that are growing up before my eyes.

Loopy, she called me loopy.

Everyone wave to Elizabeth. Today she called me because I was not at swimming. Not a swimming you *gasp*. See, I called her yesterday to complain about her not being at swimming, but she did not answer the phone. Want to know why? Because she was at Bible study and was to afraid to answer the phone because I would make her laugh and she was suppose to be serious. Hmph. Can you believe that?

We then compared scheduled for next week. Hmph, swimming may not be a good thing next week. That means I will be spending more time on my friend the Treadmill (which I have not touched all week). But we are going to look up the water aerobics class. I figure that was easier because can you really sweat in water? Even if you are can anyone tell? Also swim class time (for our daughters) are changing because the parks and rec is going to do swim lessons too. Hmph.

Then Elizabeth tells me that she finally did get into my blog that night. She laughed for hours (well I think she said minutes but hey I can embellish right?!) She said I was as LOOPY and she thought I was.

Is that a good thing?

The funny thing about Elizabeth (with an English accent too) and I is that was do laugh and a ton. We crack each other up. I think her DH is a riot too. We were sooo loopy together at the concession stand for the swim meet that we were cooking up doing wife swap (Like the TV sow people, get your mind out of the gutter!) as a swim team fund raiser.

Loopy eh? I think she fits right on in there.

Disneyland for the first time

No, not me you silly one. The nephews were here for a few days. Let me tell you that boys can and will eat you out of house and home. But that is to be expected. So they came down with one thing , no make that two things on their mind. 1) To swim in my pool 2) To go to Disneyland.

The Pool. Well is is still dang cold. See I heat my pool. Yes probably the only person in the city that heats their pool. I like bath water. I will stay all day if it is bath water. Right now it is just dang cold. I really mean it. Not more then my toe has been inside the pool. They jumped right on in and then screamed. But they survived and even wanted to go back.

Disneyland. After we spent, well THEY spent plenty of time in the pool, the next thing was to get to Disneyland. They were so excited. We well, we were not as excited but it sure caught on when we saw how excited they got. See we used to live at Disneyland. We are not close now but still try and get there when we can. We used to go for a couple of hours and then go home. Well that is harder to do when you need to cram as much in as you can. But we had a plan, no maps, they had no clue what they were missing if we did not make it on everything. (Ok honestly they have no idea toon town exists, but you are not going to be telling them are you?) But everything we did, they had a ball. They will have fond memories of their butts burning while we watched a parade. Really bricks can be hot. They will also have fond memories or being terrified on Splash mountain. That is one long drop.

Being an Aunt gives you much pleasure when you hear, Thanks Auntie that was the best day ever.

Now if my legs would just recover...

Ok need to post something funny

Everyone wave *Hi Elizabeth*. She is one of the swim mom that I swim with. Ok she does double the amount of laps that I do. But she is also like half of me :) She thinks I am funny, so as I drove home from swimming I thought I should post something funny after that last depressing post.

So yes I am still swimming. Do I like it any better? No. But the peer pressure gets to me.

I also told Elizabeth that I did something that I usually do not do today. DH close your eyes....

I did nothing. Really. I met with the cabinet guy at 8:30 and then took Princess Girly Girl to school. I came home ready to totally clean the upstairs. I turned on the TV for background noise and saw that Meet Joe Black was on. I sat there. I watched and I bawled like a baby. See I turned on the close captioning to make sure that I got everything. I have seen the movie before but I get I did not really pay attention, because I caught a lot more today then ever.

So I did nothing and then I swam and not even all the laps I usually do. But I did it.

So there Elizabeth. LOL

Really Deep Thoughts for Today

When I first heard this song, I thought how sad that someone was able to put into words what my brother was trying to do it me. I am censoring some of the words because there is a few.

But I think this is about a very destructive person who think they are not good enough to be saved. They they think they need to push someone away that is trying to help them when they know that they are the one that need to save themselves.

Ok I probably put way too much in the song, but there are my deep thoughts for the day.

Hate Me by Blue October

[message on voicemail:] Hi Justin! This is your mother. It is 2:33 on Monday afternoon. I was just calling to see how you were doing. You sounded really uptight last night, it made me a little nervous, and a little, well it made me nervous, but it sounded like you were nervous too. I just want to make sure you are really okay and wanted to see if you were checking in on your medication too. You know I love ya and take care honey. I know your under a lot of pressure. See ya. Bye Bye!

I have to block out thoughts of you so I don't lose my head
They crawl in like a cockroach leaving babies in my bed
Dropping little reels of tape to remind me that I'm alone
Playing movies in my head that make a p&*^* (think a bad movie) feel like home
There's a burning in my pride, a nervous bleeding in my brain
An ounce of peace is all I want for you. will you never call again?
And will you never say that you love me just to put it in my face?
And will you never try to reach me? it is I that wanted space

Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me for all the things I didn't do for you

Hate me in ways
Yeah ways hard to swallow
Hate me so you can finally see what's good for you

I'm sober now for 3 whole months its one accomplishment that you helped me with
The one thing that always tore us apart is the one thing I wont touch again
In my sick way I want to thank you for holding my head up late at night
While I was busy waging wars on myself, you were trying to stop the fight
You never doubted my warped opinions on things like suicidal hate
You made me compliment myself when it was way too hard to take
So I'll drive so f***ing far away that I never cross your mind
And do whatever it takes in your heart to leave me behind

Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me for all the things I didn't do for you

Hate me in ways
Yeah ways hard to swallow
Hate me so you can finally see what's good for you

And with a sad heart I say bye to you and wave
Kicking shadows on the street for every mistake that I had made
And like a baby boy I never was a man
Until I saw your blue eyes cry and I held your face in my hand
And then I fell down yelling "Make it go away!"
Just make a smile come back and shine just like it used to be
And then she whispered "How can you do this to me?"

Hate me today
Hate me tomorrow
Hate me for all the things I didn't do for you

Hate me in ways
Yeah ways hard to swallow
Hate me so you can finally see whats good for you
For you
For you
For you

And to my dear sweet brother, I don't hate you. I never will, so stop trying to make me. I do think that you got the short end of the stick from our parents. You were so young and left behind. We all see you. Stop thinking that we don't. But don't think that you can keep living like you have been living. You are an adult now and you need to keep your life on track. Do it and keep on track because you need to live for you. Not for us. For you.

I love you dear brother.

The kindness of people

So I posted on my coupon board about poor Max. It was horrific really. But a kind soul is sending me some of her extra coupons. Really. Can you believe that? I cried. Really.

I also did a search on eBay and yes people sell them there too.

I might live and the new Max might too....

Max is Missing

Max is my binder of coupons. Max is named Max for MAXimum saving. I do The Grocery Game and he is the holder of all the coupons. I went looking for him last night and could not find him. Then I remember I have not seen him all week. I tore the house apart. I mean tore it apart. He is no where to be found. I am so sad. I have to make a new Max and this not going to be fun. I also had me stash of stuff in there. All my lovely free coupons and other things.

Now you know you know it is bad when you dream of Max. Yep I said dream of a binder people. I dreamed that he was yelling at the person that took him from my cart (I think I left him in my cart) and he was yelling you are doing it wrong. That is not how I am suppose to be used. AUGH

Max was a good guy, he will me missed.

Men, this time for the good.

Really. But you have to wade through a long story to find out why.

Today I was driving to meet DH for lunch (thanks honey but I know you wanted me to bring your tools more LOL). All of the sudden he freeway comes to a DEAD and I mean DEAD stop. Screeching tires and the whole nine yard. I was praying that someone would not hit me or that there would not be a chain reaction somewhere. We sat there for at least 5 minutes and then started inching along and I mean inching. What the heck was going on? An accident, ok. Must be serious no one is moving fast.

So I get to the scene and cars are moving strangely. No actually there is a guy in a one of those orange vest directing traffic and a Expedition smashed on every side and sitting on the passengers side. It looks horrific. Really, Then you hear crying screaming babies. AUGH. I am getting ready to pull over. Babies are crying, I am CPR certified. There are no police, medical anything there. Then I notice that there is someone standing in the car. They are getting the mom out. She was sitting on the passengers side window that is sitting on the freeway. Then you here a shout, I got one of them out. A mans voice. I look to the side of the freeway, there are about 5 work trucks and about 5 men popping out every window on this woman's car. They are working and I mean working to get her out and the babies. I get to see them hand the first toddler to the one of the men standing outside the car in the back. He hugs the toddler. Now I now this is not the dad, he t-shirt matches one of the work trucks. This is just a man. A man that probably saw the whole thing and stopped to help. Him and 4 other men. God Bless them.

I did not end up stopping, it seemed to be under control. The men were there. They had it handled. I really hope that everyone is fine.

But do me a favor, hug your family and your DH (if you have one) because I think most of my friends DH'a would have stopped too.

Mormon Stuff

Yep if you have not figured it out, that is what I am. Actually I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This entry is about me and being that.

Yesterday was a wonderful experience. Diane was going to the Temple for the first time. Diane got baptized a little over a year ago. I was so luck to be there. I was also lucky to be her Sunday School teacher. I was teaching the Gospel principles class. Now while there were weeks we could not get through a lesson because Diane was asking a ton of questions and mind you sometimes they were hard questions because I do not claim to know all the answers. I was very fortunate to have wonderful in class to help me if I did not have all the answers. There were weeks that I knew I would have to study harder because I knew where she would have questions. A little over a month ago, it was time for a new teacher. I was sad, but I still continued to go to that class. We knew she was ready to go to the Temple. (For all my non-LDS readers, the Temple is where we go to make more covenants with God. And yes that is where we also get our funny Mormon undies.) But there is so much joy n doing all of this. You are surrounded with people that love you. You feel God's love. You feel joy. You feel joyful, you feel peaceful.

While we were there for some reason it made me think of when I went through for the first time. It was not too long ago. Three years this year. I was so excited. These most exciting part is that finally my family would be sealed and together forever. We believe that families can be together forever. As I watched Diane's escort help her (we have those so they can guide you and help you not feel like a dork lol), it brought back the memories of Melanie helping me and looking at me with such love, sisterhood and friendship. It made me think of looking at my dear sweet DH and knowing that we were finally stuck together. All of my worrying and insecurities went away of us making it as a couple. That was it, we were stuck (like super glue) in my mind. There are not words that can describe everything that I felt that day. I just felt and KNEW what I was doing was so right for me. I was so overcome with a joy of that is what Diane was experiencing right then at that moment.

I am so grateful that found what works for me. I will never be more grateful for what I have spiritually right now. Every person is different, every person needs to find their joy, their spirit, their life. I always admire people that have found that. There are so many giving people. There are so many people that enjoy service. Everyone is different and it is wonderful to know that there are still many caring. Loving people in this world.

I am so grateful to Heavenly Father and His plans for all of us. Sometimes that road might be rocky and hard, but it just make the smooth times so much sweeter.

To my dear friends, please know that I am so grateful that you are all a part of my life. I am so grateful for those of you that have stuck by me through the sun and rain. I am so grateful for all of you that have come into my life.

Know that you are loved.

A wedding and more

Off we flew on Thursday to Utah for a wedding. It started with the DH and I ready to take each others head off. I think it was the stress of getting there and leaving the kids. I also think we really needed to unwind and relax. That does wonders for a marriage. Really :) We had a couple of surprised along the way. We were in a small plane. That does wonders for the nerves. NOT!

We get there and they tell us that for $18 more dollars we can upgrade to the new H3. DH jumped on it. It rode so nice. It was a nice car in general. The golf clubs fit just fine LOL. The thing that are important to men. Yes DH took the clubs. He had an important golf game with a friend. We ran to the distribution Center because I needed to pick some things up. We also had lunch at the mall across from Temple Square. Then it was off to the hotel.

Over the years I have become a hotel snob. That is because DH traveled so much. He got really nice upgrades. We got spoiled. So we got a nice room. I love when the decor it nice and warm and soothing. Plus I am a SUCKER for a down comforter. I will make the room an ice box so I can snuggle under the covers. So that is what I set off to do :)

We had the wedding dinner to attend. It was so nice. Yummy food, good company and lots of laughs. We met the bride, what a cutie!!! They look so good together. There was so much happiness. Joy is what was on their faces.

After the dinner we had some time to go catch a movie. It was really fun to go to a movie and be with DH and not be watching a kid movie. Xmen. It was a great movie and yes we stayed for the extra scene.

We got some sleeping in time! Yeah. We had to be at the Temple at 10:40. What a wonderful ceremony. There was such a wonderful spirit. The bride and groom BEAMED. It was so happy and warm. There was so much love. We had some time before the reception, the number one thing on our list to do was to take a nap. Oh what a lovely nap that was! Reception was wonderful and then we went to dinner. Yummy!

The next day was fun day. Dh was off to play golf and I got to spend time with Melanie! YEAH! Top of the list, SCRAPBOOK shopping. Happiness! We had a ball. Yummy lunch. Sometimes it is just nice to have fun, relax and be goofy!

Sunday we came home. It all had to end sometime. I feel recharged and am slowly getting back into the swing of things :)

You know when you go on vacation and then you have to spend a week catching up from it? That is where I am right now. So please bear with me. I am writing an email to talk about my weekend, but it is in bits and pieces.

So I will catch up, in about a week... LOL
