Choices

I was having a great chat with a friend today and we were talking about things all over the board. It just got me thinking.

I think everyone needs a friends that can hit them over the head with a 2x4 when needed. Sometimes you just need people to be honest and and frank (who is Frank anyway?) with you.

You stuck making a decision, the friend (we will call him frank) can point out that you have two choices, stay paralyzed in fear to do anything or DO SOMETHING. Most of the time DO SOMETHING is the answer. Also releasing the chains that bind us in fear can be loosened. Just put your faith in God and unbind yourself.

I have had to do that several times in my time, by the 2x4 and take out the 2x4 and whack someone over the head. Neither one is fun but if you are the one being hit, it is so eye opening. When hitting someone else with the 2x4 it is wonderful to see the person being hit open their eyes. It is all an enlightening process.

Now I am not saying it is all fun and game. It really hurts. But with your eyes open, it is for the better.

Now if I could just remember the great line I came up with when chatting with my friend. But I guess I need a 2x4.
