Spring Break

I want to know who came up with this term? It must have been a man. Spring Break is a break for the kids. But is it is not a break for mom. I know I have to hear, MOM, about 10,000 more times a day then I had to before. The even WORSE part is that Spring Break is the ENTIRE month of April, since we are on a year round schedule.

Today, I made the girls due projects (read that, threatened their little lives to keep out of moms way). They both had to clean their rooms. See Princess Seriously is having a friend spent the night for her birthday. Princess Girly Girl, well, I told her that Grandpa is coming and he needs to see a spotless room. She is the neat freak. She proceeded to take EVERYTHING out of her shelves and reorganize everything. Poor kid, it took her all day. Princess Seriously got smart and locked herself in her room with the music blasting.

Me, I cleaned. I did my anal vacuuming and enjoyed it. In peace, alone. With no one saying MOM, for about 10 minutes...
