Last Night:
This one is with the 17 year old daughter.
me:Ok so be dead honest and tell me the truth. DD17 have you ever driven a car before?
DD17: Well no, but Friend was trying to teach me about driving a stick shift and getting the timing down.
me: then how have you never been behind the wheel
DD17: I was in the passengers seat
me: not the same. So you have never been behind the wheel?
DD17: no, pause pause, but you can teach me. Lets go.
Husband to DD17: you will be begging me to teach you, I dont think mom is going to be so patient.
me: with me rolling my eyes, I taught your MOTHER to drive a stick shift, I can teach my daughter to drive an automatic.
Then later texting with with DD11 and her dad.
DD11: can I eat this real quick before bed
Husband: yes (then about 10 other very random texts)
DD11: Dad you are texting too fast, I have about 10 unread messages I am behind.
Me: I am think we have failed, how could we be texting to fast? I need to give her better life skills.
That is what happens in my house, what about yours?
