2007 in Review.

It is that time of year, the time where you get the boring recap letters of different families that you only hear from around this time of year. So here we go, what we have been up to…

January, nothing, can not remember, it was almost a year ago. Who can remember that far back? Oh wait, I remember something, PS's band was invited to play at Disneyland. The whole family took a trip there to see them.

February, PGG and DH's birthdays, that is when I go insane and do their birthdays all on one day. Kids in the morning and adults in the afternoon. PGG whines about why it is freezing cold and why can she not have a pool party. This year we escaped that by going to Build-a-Bear. Then we came home and got ready for DH's dinner! Fun for all. PGG turned seven and DH well he is just old, poor guy. DH and PS also went to a NASCAR Busch race. They had fun and DH went the next day to the big race. DH and PGG also went to see Wicked. They had a ball.

March, I packed up and went to the Midwest for a scrapbooking retreat. I am serious, do not mess with my retreats. I packed up and went to the freezing cold. They all said it was not cold, but dang for this California girl, it was cold.

April, brought us a full fledged teenager. Heaven help us get through the next few years. PS turned 13. She did manage to have a pool party. It was still a little cold but they managed and had a good time.

May was busy with swimming, Our swim team hosted a very successful swimming meet. The whole family worked to make this happen as, I am President of the board for swim team. DH the computer geek helped to get the technology where it needed to be and PS swam her heart out. May also brought a birthday for me. I am trying to forget about those now.

June was the end of the school year for PS and PGG. PS and I also went off to girls camp. I swore I would never go again, but PS sweet talked her into to it. DH and PGG had a blast playing for the week.

July, it brings record temperatures and high electricity bills. After a shocking bill we survived and stayed cool by hanging out in the pool. PS and I drove to Las Vegas for a big meet, it was 120 degrees there. We thought we were hot at home. PS did well at the meet. It was worth the drive.

August, before the girls went back to school, the family went off to do the touristy things in Southern California. We went off to Hollywood, Soak City, Knott’s Berry Farm and the Beach. We had a blast, we so needed that family time and fun! PGG started second grade, PS eighth grade. PGG loves art and reading. PS is back in band and working hard in school.

September was boring & that was good because there was excitement to come in the following months. DH started thinking maybe it was time for a job change. We had no idea what was coming.

October, DH and I hit 15 years of marriage! WOW! This is the month that I thought maybe working a part time was a good idea. After 5 years, she took a job in Human Resources. Retail in the holiday season, what was she THINKING? Halloween was lots of fun, we joined the McGuires for their Halloween fun!

November, the job offers started coming in for DH. At one point, I had the family moving to Utah, but it was not meant to be. We are staying put for a bit longer. DH did take a new job, he begins in January. It should be lots of fun for him. We also traveled to Arizona to hit another NASCAR race. We had a blast. The girls went off to see Grandma Joan for the weekend. My Dad joined DH and Darren for the big race. I spent a day with her dear friend Melanie. Good times! Thanksgiving was family time and lots of fun.

December, we started the month with another team hosted swim meet. It was freezing cold and we all worked very hard to make it another successful meet. It just happened to be the biggest in Southern California. It was also the first really cold weekend out here and we froze our behinds off.

So we are busy, busy, busy and enjoying life and all the curves we are thrown in between, we wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and New Year!
