Something I have learned

So DH is funny about dinner. he is not a lunch for dinner type person. Meaning he thinks a salad is lunch food, sandwiches are lunch food. Get the idea? My DH is not demanding and is a wonderful person this is just one of his quarks.

So a couple of weeks ago, he was not suppose to be coming home for dinner. He was starving and the girls and did a fend for yourself type dinner. We were on the way to youth group. SO I told him I would whip him up a salad and leave it for him. He was not so exciting but said great, I am so hungry. (Now keep in mind he is diabetic so fast food is not so great for him). The girls and I had 25 minutes before we had to leave. We broke out the chine and set it up for him. I had some left over grilled chicken we made an awesome grilled chicken salad for him. Put it on the chine, warmed some bread, broke out a goblet type glass, did iced water with limes and then left some pudding out. Then we had to leave. He called me cracking up that it was such a nice dinner, not a word about it being salad. He was like, I felt so special.

So tonight the girls had various things and I made chicken salad sandwiches for us, chopped up some fruit, toasted the bread and broke the china. He was tickled and not a word about it being lunch for dinner.

It just cracks me up the his perspective can be changed by the dinnerware.

So my advice, break out the china! LOL
